Louisiana governments and non-profits maintain enormous quantities of GIS data. The list below are just a few of the many data resources and services available. The content below includes both static and live map services. Live map services can be added to your ArcGIS Desktop environment (version 9.3 only). In some cases, Google Earth, and ArcGIS Explorer clients will be able supported.

Instructions 

To add a map service to your ArcMap Document:

  • Select from any one of the listed geospatial data services. An interactive map will appear in a display window.
  • Click on the map service link.
  • Select from the provided formats (ex: "View in ArcMap").
  • Save layer file (*.lyr) to your computer
  • Add to ArcMap
